He's My Savior In Disguise
Look beyond her smile,
She's fighting every mile;
But the thing they refuse to see,
Is the darkness brewing inside of me.
She cries alone nearly every night,
Longing to surrender the fight;
So what does she hold on for?
When does she realize the crushing score?
She reaches blindly into the dark,
Groping for hope, maybe a spark,
Instead she sticks her hand into the fire-
Reaches into the mouth of the liar.
Here she finds refuge from false light;
Battered and broken she surrenders the fight,
But only for a moment, then He sends her on her way-
He's her steel-tough spine when her sanity begins to fray.
