Bulimic Snakes
Poets are like snakes,

they must be able

to unhinge their jaws,

and swallow whole

their prey; inspiration.

Poets are like bulimics,

they must regurgitate

every calorie consumed

and spill their guts

upon the blank page;

beauty.
